Strategies and Analysis for Growth and Access

PASSN has partnered with SAGA to increase communication between policy makers and researchers.

SAGA (Strategies and Analysis for Growth and Access), a project of Cornell and Clark-Atlanta Universities, is a cooperative agreement supported by USAID, specifically the Africa Bureau’s Office of Sustainable Development (AFR/SD) and the EGAT Offices of Economic Growth and Poverty Reduction (EGAT/EG and EGAT/PR). SAGA brings together key personnel having extensive experience in Africa as researchers, teachers, policymakers, and consultants, to offer a different perspective on growth and poverty reduction.  SAGA conducts research and offers technical assistance on a variety of topics, including education and human capital, health and nutrition, risk and vulnerability, and empowerment and institutions.

New Cornell Adult University CyberTower Study Room on Food Aid

Cornell's Online Adult University has launched a new “study room” on international food aid featuring Christopher Barrett, a Cornell University Professor and Co-Investigator with SAGA.  Professor Barrett examines how food aid has evolved, to what extent it fulfills its humanitarian and economic development and other, donor-oriented objectives today, and what challenges it now faces. To access the study room, which provides free access with registration, click here.
