Pro-poor Growth

Pro-poor Growth
Economic growth is central to poverty reduction.  However, ensuring that growth actually helps poor households move out of poverty may require a close look at the structure of growth.  The development community is still determining what types of policies and institutions can ensure that economic growth is pro-poor.  Distributional impacts must be accounted for and we must ensure that new polices are not regressive in nature.  Additionally, the links between inequality and economic growth are still being determined.
