USAID’s Social Transition Team, in the Europe and Eurasia Bureau, hosted an event on social work as it relates to child welfare/protection in development assistance. Speakers presented models and emerging/best practices from several regions of the world in building country capacity to provide effective social services and meet related human resources needs. Participants will be invited to share their experiences and insights during a facilitated discussion on the social work workforce more broadly, as it relates to the long-term effectiveness and viability of USG programs.  This iis a photo of the speakers (L to R): John Williamson, Ghazal Keshavarzian, Susan Becker, Rebecca Davis, Allison Blake
